The only thing I love more than classic banana bread is chocolate banana bread! The combination of bananas with rich chocolate is just the best.

For this recipe, we’re skipping the cocoa powder and using delicious melted chocolate instead. It gives the bread the best chocolate flavor and amazing texture.

For an extra dose of chocolate, I mix two kinds of chocolate chips into the batter along with some chopped nuts to add some crunch and texture.

This easy recipe is the best chocolate banana bread recipe – serve any time of day when you need a chocolate fix. It really is so good.

  1. Are the nutrition facts for the whole loaf, instead of one serving. Can’t you do the nutritional facts like most cooks? Thank you.

    1. Hi Lark, I calculate the nutritional facts for the whole loaf because I’m not sure if you’ll cut 8 slices or 12. It’s easier to divide based on the whole loaf than by slices.

  2. Just wondering is it one egg or more – the directions say to add eggs one at a time. I am loving all your recipes and have made quite a few – this one next.

    1. Hi Marie! It’s one egg, sorry for the confusion! We made the changes to the recipe and now it should be fine 🙂 Thank you and happy baking!
