Where this all began
I’m half Italian and half Canadian. I was born in Italy, in a small town outside of Rome. I grew up watching my mother, my grandmother and my aunts cook and bake. In the Summer, we would get together and make conserva, tomato sauce, for the year ahead. In September we picked grapes and in October and November we picked olives to make olive oil and kiwis.
I spent my days outside in nature.
In 2011, after high school, I moved to Canada, Toronto, to study Journalism at Centennial College. In 2014, after graduating with a diploma in Journalism I decided to move back to Italy for a few months and that’s when I started making my first desserts at home. It became mainly a hobby.
I moved back to Toronto and started working a part-time job while I figured out what to do next. In 2016 I became a flight attendant and I thought I had found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, but I was wrong.
In 2019 I decided to take the Baking Arts program at George Brown College in Toronto and that’s when I started thinking that maybe baking could be more than just a passion for me.
In 2020, I stopped working as a flight attendant and started working with my mother, Rosemary, on her website, An Italian In My Kitchen. I began filming recipes on Youtube for her channel and in April 2022 I took over Breads and Sweets, the second website she created specifically for bread and sweet recipes.
It’s been a rollercoaster, but I am so happy to be here!

- Diploma in Journalism, Centennial College, Toronto, 2014.
- I completed the Baking Arts, Cakes 1, Breads, Cookies, Introduction to Chocolate, and Italian Baking courses at George Brown College Toronto, 2019 – 2021
LIFE BEFORE BLOGGING:
Before becoming a content creator I worked as a flight attendant. I was based in Vancouver for a year and then moved back to Toronto. I love travelling and being a flight attendant allowed me to visit many beautiful cities. Baking and travelling have always been a big part of my life and blogging allows me to combine both together. I love it!
NEW PASSIONS:
In 2022 I developed a new passion for running, and in October of 2022 I ran my first half-marathon! In October 2023 I will be running my first ever marathon! I plan on running as many marathons I can in as many cities I can!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE DESSERT?
Tiramisu is and always will be my favorite dessert! I love it so much that I named my cat Tiramisu!
