This no-knead Irish soda bread is made with oats, flour, buttermilk, and baking soda for a hearty, rustic loaf. No yeast is needed, just a simple, delicious flavor in under an hour.
Pre-heat the oven to 400℉ (205℃) and grease and flour a 9 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the rolled oats and mix, add the buttermilk and mix together with a fork or spatula. Do not knead.
Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle with some extra oats on top and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the bread comes out clean or with just a few crumbs attached.
Let the bread cool for 10 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack. Serve warm. Enjoy!
