- 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon milk 2 % (scalded 180F / 82 C)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour (divided)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon all spice
- zest 1/2 orange
- 1/4 cup raisins or currents*
- 1/4 cup candied orange
*In a bowl of boiling water add the raisin and let sit for 5 -10 minutes, drain and dry with a paper towel.
ICING
- 1/2 cup powdered/icing sugar
- 2 teaspoons teaspoon milk 2%
