In a pot melt the butter. Add marshmallows, and stir on low heat until melted.

Stir in the vanilla. Add the remaining marshmallows and cereal and stir gently to combine.

Transfer to a pan and gently press. Allow to set for one hour. Cut into 8 rectangles.

Melt white and dark chocolate and let them cool. Decorate your rice krispie squares as you like.
