Easy Strawberry Sauce Recipe

This easy strawberry sauce is bursting with the flavour of fresh juicy strawberries. The perfect addition for all kinds of breakfast & desserts ideas!

Ingredients
 
 

  • 3 cups strawberries (chopped)
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½-¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  • In a medium to large pot add the chopped strawberries, lemon juice, sugar and cornstarch.
  • Place the pot on medium/low heat bring to a boil while stirring constantly, stir in the vanilla.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and let cool. Can be served warm or cold. Delicious over pancakes or ice cream.

Notes

Leftover sauce should be refrigerated in an airtight container. It will keep 4-5 days in the fridge.
Let cool to room temperature, then place in an airtight freezer safe container or a freezer bag. Will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.
