Ingredients

  • 3 cups red sparkling wine (or even a rose)
  • ¼ cup fine sugar
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 medium orange (cleaned sliced)
  • 1 medium lemon (cleaned sliced)
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

EXTRAS

  • 4-5 fresh mint leaves if desired

Instructions

  • In a large bowl add the wine, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, sliced orange and lemon, strawberry slices and stir to combine. Let sit 30 minutes. Serve over ice in glasses with fresh strawberries and mint if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

You can use red or white wine to make sangria. Use a dry wine that you like to drink - sometimes I use rosé, it works great! For white wines, a sauvignon blanc or chardonnay work well, too.
Store the Sangria in the fridge. It will keep for up to 4 days.
