Chocolate Covered Oreos

Easy to make chocolate covered Oreos are the perfect no bake dessert to make at the holidays or anytime of the year. Learn how to make these 3-ingredient chocolate dipped Oreos for a crowd-pleasing treat using only Oreos, chocolate and sprinkles!

Ingredients
 
 

  • 15 Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces Semi sweet chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons Sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the semi sweet chocolate in a small bowl over a pot of water on low heat. (make sure the bowl doesn't touch the water) Melt until smooth, stirring often. When the chocolate is completely melted remove the bowl from the heat.
  • Dip the oreos in the melted chocolate, one at a time, using a fork. Remove the excess chocolate from the cookies and place them on the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Add sprinkles on top of the cookies and refrigerate them for approximately 15 minutes or until set. Serve and Enjoy!

Notes

If you have used untempered chocolate such as candy bars or chocolate chips, it is better to store the cookies in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 2 - 4 weeks.
If you have used tempered chocolate such as baking chocolate or candy melts, you can store the cookies at room temperature in an airtight container for 2 - 4 weeks. 
You can store them in the freezer in a freezer safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
