Milk Sourdough Starter  All-Purpose Flour Honey Vegetable Oil Salt Baking Soda Brown Sugar Egg

Step 1

In a bowl combine the starter with the milk.

Add the flour and mix until smooth. Cover the bowl and let sit for 45-60 minutes at room temperature.

Add the honey, salt, oil, and the rest of the flour to the mix. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and turn to coat. Leave to rise for about two hours.

On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into pieces and roll each one into a rope.

Form a pretzel shape and place on a baking sheet. Let them rise for about an hour.

Step 7

Drop the pretzels in boiling water. Remove from water and brush them with egg wash, sprinkle salt on top.

Bake the pretzels for 15 minutes at 400°F or until golden brown. Serve them warm!
