Step 1
In a bowl whisk together the flour, nutmeg and salt until no lumps remain then set aside.

In another bowl cream the butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients and combine everything together to form a soft dough.
Step 3
Form dough into golf sized balls. Place onto a parchment lined baking sheet and flatten slightly with a fork.
Step 4
Bake at 350F for 13-15 minutes or until lightly golden. Let the cookies cool for 2 minutes then transfer them to a cooling rack and let them cool completely.
Step 5
In a small bowl mix together the powdered sugar, whipping cream and maple syrup. Frost your nutmeg cookies.
