Homemade Whole Wheat Bread

Water Honey Active Dry Yeast All Purpose Flour Whole Wheat Flour Salt Olive Oil

Step 1

In a bowl mix water and honey. Sprinkle yeast over top. Let sit for 5 min then mix. Whisk together flour and salt, add olive oil and yeast mix and knead until dough is smooth. Place dough onto a flat surface and knead into a ball.

Step 2

Place the dough ball in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm area until doubled in size.

Step 3

Punch the dough down and form into a loaf shape. Place the loaf on a cookie sheet and cover with plastic wrap,  let it sit and double in size again.

Step 4

Towards the end of your rise time, preheat the oven. Score the bread and bake until perfectly done.
