Italian Donuts


Milk Yeast Flour Sugar Zest  Egg Butter Vanilla Mashed Potatoes Salt

Step 1

In a small bowl mix the milk & yeast. In mixing bowl add the flour, zest and sugar, start to knead, add the yeast, egg, butter, vanilla, knead.

Step 2

Add the mashed potatoes & salt and knead.

Step 3

Move the dough to a flat surface and knead to form a soft dough ball. Place in a bowl and let rise.

Step 4

Move the dough to a flat surface and fold.

Step 5

Roll to 1/2 inch thick and cut into donuts.

Step 6

Place the cut out donuts on a prepared cookie sheet, cover and let rise.

Step 7

Until doubled in bulk.

Step 8

Then Fry or Bake!
