All Purpose Flour Butter Water Granulated Sugar Baking Powder Salt Eggs  Milk Almond Extract  Raspberry Jam Sliced Almonds

Step 1

In a bowl, add flour and butter. Combine until the mix resembles breadcrumbs. Add 2-3 tablespoons of cold water to form a soft dough. Roll out then transfer to a baking pan.

In another bowl, add butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk and almond extract and mix to combine.

Step 3

Spread the pastry base with jam and top with the sponge mixture. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the sponge layer.

Step 4

Bake at 375F for 25 minutes. Let the Bakewell bars cool in the pan before cutting.
