All Purpose Flour Baking Soda Baking Powder Butter Granulated Sugar Egg Yolk Vanilla Extract

Step 1

In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking soda and baking powder and set aside.

Step 2

Cream together the sugar and butter. Add yolk and vanilla and mix. Add the flour and mix. The dough should be soft and compact.

Step 3

Roll the sugar cookie dough into walnut-sized balls then roll them in sugar until coated on all sides.

Step 4

Place dough balls on a baking sheet and bake about 8-10 minutes. Cool for 2-3 minutes on the pan before removing to a wire rack.
