Step 1
Whisk the flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Add butter and rub it in until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add sugar and mix everything together.

Combine eggs and milk in a medium bowl and stir to combine.

Gradually add egg mix to the dry ingredients, stirring with a fork until almost combined and fold in the chocolate. Mix until you have a soft dough.
Step 4
Turn dough onto a floured surface and flatten with your hand or a rolling pin. Use a cookie cutter to make round scones or cut into wedges.
Step 5
Place scones on baking sheet and brush tops of scones with reserved egg mixture.
Step 6
Bake for 10-15 minutes at 425F or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
