Step 1
In a large bowl, combine sugars then add flour, salt and baking powder. Stir to remove any lumps.

Add butter, eggs and vanilla and beat on low speed until everything is blended.

Spoon batter into a prepared 8-inch loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the top of the bread comes out clean or with just a few crumbs

Cool bread completely. In a pot, stir together butter, brown sugar, salt and evaporated milk over medium heat. Remove from the heat, add vanilla icing sugar. Pour glaze over caramel bread.
